The wait is over for Star Wars fans as the long-awaited conclusion to the spin-off series Andor is about to premiere.
Season two comes to Disney+ this week, promising closure for those who were enthralled by the first season and eager to hear the fate of Cassian Andor.
Rife with political intrigue and danger, the series is a prequel to the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which portrayed a heroic band of rebels who steal the plans for the Empire’s weapon of mass destruction – The Death Star—setting the stage for the events of the original 1977 film.
Andor sets the clock back five years from the events of Rogue One to tell the story of the film’s hero, Cassian Andor and his transformation from a disinterested, cynical nobody into a rebel hero.
The second season takes place as war draws near, and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance.
Everyone will be tested, and as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicting agendas are profound.
Season two of Star Wars spin-off Andor will premiere on Disney+ in a simultaneous global release.

However, timings will vary according to where you are in the world.
In the US, the first episodes of the new season will drop at 6pm (PT) or 9pm (ET) on Tuesday 22 April.
In the UK, however, they will be ready to stream at 2am (BST) on Wednesday, 23 April.
How many episodes are there?
Just like the first, the second season of Andor is made up of 12 episodes.
These will be released three at a time over four weeks.
The first three will be available on Wednesday, 23 April, and the final three will be released on Wednesday, 14 May.

Diego Luna reprises his role as Cassian Andor, a key player in the Rebel Alliance.
Luna said of his character: “He’s working for Luthen’s team, and he’s been quite successful.
“He’s been given a lot of responsibilities now, so it’s far from that guy that was difficult to trust and read.
“Right now, he’s a man on a mission.”
Mexican actor Luna is best known for his portrayal of Cassian Andor in the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The 45-year-old has also starred in the films Flatliners, A Rainy Day in New York and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Genevieve O’Reilly

The Irish-Australian actress, 48, played Mon Mothma in the Star Wars films Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One.
She has also appeared in the films The Young Victoria, The Legend of Tarzan and Tolkien.
On television, she has starred in The State Within, The Time of Your Life, Tin Star and Ahsoka.

Adria Arjona plays Bix Caleen, a mechanic on Ferrix.
She said: “A lot happened to her in Season 1.
“And she wants to be strong, and she wants to be tough.
“It makes her rebellion internal and self-destructive.”
American actress Arjona, 32, has starred in the 2022 film Father of the Bride as well as Hit Man and Blink Twice.
She has also appeared in the television series Emerald City, Good Omens and Irma Veep.
Stellan Skarsgård

“He lives a kind of double life — or maybe triple life, we don’t know.”
The Swedish actor, 73, has starred in numerous films, including Good Will Hunting, The Hunt for Red October, Amistad, the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, as well as the Pirates of the Caribbean, Thor, Dune and the Mama Mia movies.
On television, he is known for his roles in River and Chernobyl.
