(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Good Evening!
After the warm and pleasant start to the week, unsettled weather returns for Tuesday and will stick around for much of this week.
A cold front will move into the region tonight and early Tuesday, bringing showers and possibly a storm to the mountains.
As the front slides east on Tuesday, showers and storms will develop more closer to Charlotte and areas east, allowing for a more unsettled afternoon and evening for the Piedmont Tuesday afternoon.
Scattered showers and storms will continue for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as another weak front arrives. Through the work week, the entire region could experience between half an inch to one inch of rainfall. Flooding is not likely, as this rain will not all fall at once. Severe weather is also unlikely, but an isolated stronger storm or two with gusty winds and hail can't be ruled out through midweek.
Despite the rain and storms, conditions will still remain warm and a tad humid. More of a summerlike pattern this week, with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and a few lower 80s each day.
Rain chances will slowly decrease this weekend, with a few more hit-or-miss showers and storms for Saturday, but more isolated rain chances for Sunday.
Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Showers West. Low: 64.
Tuesday: Scattered Showers and Storms. High: 81.
Wednesday: Scattered Showers and Storms. High: 79.
