Disney's Snow White star Rachel Zegler took to Instagram on April 20 to ask fans for help with her pup, Lenny, who had fallen ill.
"We are now trying an appetite stimulant and an anti-diarrhetic to try to get him to eat and settle his tummy. He has never been like this before so I am really, really I stressed," Zegler said on her Instagram Stories.
"We are drinking water and otherwise seemingly good. Unfortunately this comes 48 hours before we need to fly across the ocean. Anything would help," she continued, adding that Lenny was still his playful self despite his stomach issues.
Hours later, Zegler rushed Lenny to the ER where he underwent a variety of tests, including a GI tract ultrasound and bloodwork.

"I am trying not to pull my hair out in the midst of all of this! thanks for your help and your endless love for my sweet boy," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. Then, in an appropriately named "pupdate," Zegler shared that Lenny had a diagnosis.
"He has colitis," she shared. It seems Lenny started getting back to normal after getting some fluids.
"Big massive love to everyone who reached out with helpful tips and recommendations," she wrote. "Happy to report that Lenny is doing great!!!!! The intravenous medications have certainly helped settle his system and he's back to wanting to eat which was my most major concern."
"This dog is my entire life and the mere thought of him feeling anything less than wonderful just destroys me - it's been comforting to read how not alone i am in that feeling thru all of your helpful DMs. Whether you suggested pumpkin, a second opinion, reike, or simply offered a prayer for the little man, thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!" she added.
Lenny has made only a handful of appearance's on Zegler's Instagram page, but the actress has previously stated just how much Lenny means to her.
"You came to me in a time where i desperately needed love without conditions or apprehensions, and you’ve given me what i consider to be the best version of being alive. i love you so much," the West Side Story star captioned an Instagram post in March 2024 in honor of Lenny's second birthday.
