This week’s Hometown Heroes, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, are Betty Buckley, Alyssa DePasquale, and Ruthie Soccorso.
Buckley of Carrboro High School, DePasquale of Chapel Hill High School, and Soccorso of East Chapel Hill High School are the graduating seniors organizing Project Graduation this year. Every year since 1992, students have been organizing Project Grad and since then, our community has had no fatalities on grad night. Project Graduation is a fun all night event, including games, a casino, raffles and more for seniors to have a fun and safe place to celebrate their graduation with no drugs or alcohol.
