2nd Bangladesh embankment near Tripura border triggers security & flood fears

Bangladesh's embankment construction near the Muhuri River in South Tripura, allegedly violating the Indira-Mujib pact, has raised security and flood concerns. Over 500 families fear monsoon flooding. CPM legislator from Belonia Dipankar Sen sought immediate intervention of the Union home ministry into the issue, as similar incidents in Kailashahar earlier prompted India to build higher embankments to counter flood risks.
