Arizona State men’s basketball on Friday received a commitment from 2024-25 Sun Belt leading scorer Adante’ Holiman of Georgia Southern.
The 6-foot, 175-pound guard averaged 16.9 points while shooting 38.6% on 8.4 3s per game. He added 2.3 assists in 30 minutes per game.
Holiman scored at least 20 points in two of his final three games last season with a stretch of five 20-plus point performances in six games not long before that end-of-season stretch.
VCU, Missouri and East Carolina were among the other schools in the running for Holiman’s services.
Before playing 25 games last year with Georgia Southern, Holiman had one-year stints with Texas-Rio Grande Valley (24 games) and UTSA (20 games). He averaged 7.5 points in each season.

How does Adante’ Holiman fit in to Arizona State’s roster?
After Adam Miller was Arizona State’s final transfer departure, the Sun Devils were left with a massive void of perimeter shooting.
Holiman will satisfy the need to an extent, but his slight frame suggests the Big 12 will be a big adjustment in terms of physicality for the former Sun Belt star.
In a backcourt that also includes Pepperdine transfer point guard Moe Odum, lone holdover Trevor Best and Toledo transfer Bryce Ford, Holiman finished last season with a comparable number of made 3s (81) as the other trio combined (99).
His commitment also helps to ease the blow of Leo Curtis’ de-commitment, which was reported on Friday. The 7-foot-1 Icelandic center would’ve provided 3-point shooting, and he projected as the only member of the team taller than 6-foot-9.
