In last week's episode of The Equalizer entitled "Deception," Mel's (Liza Lapira) PTSD is triggered by an entitled jerk (Simon Pearl) when she parks in a space he claims is his (we all know someone like this). His clapping hands in her personal space triggers her and she pulls a gun out on him. This causes Mel to seek an emergency session with her therapist, Dr. Roszak (Roma Maffia). She hasn't told Harry (Adam Goldberg) everything she's been going through which has left him wondering why she's been avoiding him.

Aunt Vi’s (Lorraine Toussaint) suspected that her friend Evelyn (Michael Michele) was being taken advantage of by her latest boyfriend, Nigel (William Abadie). Her friend should have trusted Aunt Vi's instincts because she was right! He managed to con Evelyn out of several hundreds of thousands of dollars, basically her entire retirement fund. Aunt Vi calls on Mel and Harry to help Evelyn get her money back, but Mel's PTSD causes Nigel to discover what they're doing and he escapes - for a short while. Arriving at the airport, intent on leaving the country, he is coldcocked by Dante (Tory Kittles), who grabs Nigel's phone and with it, all the info they need to get Evelyn's money back.

Robyn takes a day off from equalizing to spend time with Delilah (Laya DeLeon Hayes). They tinker with Robyn's prized Chevelle to get it running smoothly again after Delilah and Cam's (Nathaniel McIntyre) joyride a few weeks back. Allowing Dee to drive the prized Chevelle, they visit some of Robyn's old haunts, but Dee abandons it after learning her best friends got into Princeton. Once Robyn finds her, she takes her to the street corner where she was caught stealing a car in her youth. She tells Dee she thought her life was over, but it was because of that mistake that led her on the path she's on today. This allows Dee to understand that not getting into her top schools or even her safety school isn't the end of the world.
