Fans Rally Around ‘Chicago PD’ After 'Powerful' Episode ...Saudi Arabia

Chicago P.D.'s latest episode, titled "Demons," focused on Hank Voight's (Jason Beghe) fight against the corrupt Deputy Chief Reid (The Pitt'sShawn Hatosy).

The synopsis for Season 12 Episode 18 teased, "Voight and Chapman work together to uncover Deputy Chief Reid's shadow dealings as Reid assigns Intelligence to a carjacking case."

Of course, attempting to bring a powerful and shady figure to justice meant that Voight had to cross some lines to get there, reminding fans of the "old school Hank."

"For a minute I thought Voight was gonna put ol boy in the cage. I kinda got excited lol. #chicagopd" another fan wrote, as someone else reminded, "hank voight investigating corrupt cops is crazy considering he is one #ChicagoPD."

"Don’t hate Voight! He has done some sketchy things but his reasons are for good! He is a badass," a One Chicago fan defended, as another explained, "It takes a corrupt cop to catch one sometimes," and yet another called him "the good kind."

There were also a handful of fans still waiting for something to happen between Voight and Nina Chapman (Sara Bues)—and since she previously admitted to catching feelings, it's only a matter of time before Voight finally gets a romantic storyline.

Fans couldn't get over the most "powerful" scene, as all of Intelligence put their trust in Voight, promising to help bring Reid down: "Tell us the truth. We will lie for you."

Viewers also showed concern and support for Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) after it was revealed that the weight of his previous case was causing insomnia and taking a toll on his mental health. This led to an injury and reckless decisions that endangered the team, all while leaving him vulnerable to Reid's manipulation, and creating tension between him and colleague Kiana Cook (Toya Turner), complicating a potential romance that fans continued to ship.
