The Genius Way to Make the Laziest Bread Ever

If you’ve ever dreamed of serving warm, golden, buttery bread without lifting more than a finger or two, you’re in the right place. Let’s be honest—making homemade bread sounds lovely until you’re elbow-deep in flour and wondering why you started this in the first place. That’s where this lazy girl’s bread hack comes in!

Shared by content creator @the.shortcut.girl, this genius take on crescent rolls is affectionately called Bundt-ed Crescents—and it’s about to become your go-to recipe for any time you want some hot, fresh, kinda fancy bread in a hurry. It’s pillowy, flavorful and requires almost zero effort. Lazy baking? Fully embraced.

This recipe is all about convenience while still bringing major flavor and visual appeal to your table. In no time, you can get a golden, buttery ring of soft, pull-apart rolls infused with Italian seasoning and whatever else your tastebuds are craving.

And you won’t be kneading or proofing or doing any of the fussy stuff that normally comes with bread-making. Instead, you’re going to dump canned crescent dough into a Bundt pan, pour on some melted butter, sprinkle with seasonings and let the oven do the rest. The result is a stunning, crowd-worthy bread that looks and tastes like you spent hours on it.

For this recipe, you will need a few cans of crescent rolls, melted butter and Italian dressing seasoning mix. If you like, you can also use some garlic powder, dried rosemary, grated Parmesan or any seasoning blend you love.

Preheat your oven to 350° and put a stick of butter in a Bundt pan. Stick it in the oven to melt. When the butter is melted, mix a packet of Italian seasoning (and any other seasonings you want to use) into the butter and brush some of it up the sides of the pan to make sure the bread doesn't stick.

Next, open three cans of crescent dough and plop them into the Bundt pan. In the video, they just go in the pan as a log, no separating the rolls needed. It seems counterintuitive, but the results look good. All you need to do is press down on the dough logs a bit to make them fit a bit more evenly in the pan.

Bake until the top is golden brown and the bread is cooked through, which should take 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool for about five minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve as-is or add a side of marinara, ranch or garlic butter for dunking. Slice or pull apart the bread and enjoy!

For more flavor, add shredded mozzarella or cheddar between for a gooey, cheesy twist, or swap the Italian seasoning for cinnamon sugar and drizzle with glaze for a monkey bread-style dessert.

Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the butter for a bakery-style twist, or add taco seasoning and shredded pepper jack for a spicy version—serve with salsa or queso!

Toss in a little buffalo sauce with the butter and sprinkle in ranch seasoning for a zingy game day snack. The possibilities are almost endless!

If you don’t want to heat up your oven, try making a smaller version in the air fryer using mini Bundt pans or ramekins.

You can also assemble the Bundt-ed Crescents a few hours ahead of time, cover with plastic wrap and bake just before serving.
