MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Actress Michelle Trachtenberg's cause of death has been revealed.
On Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York disclosed that Trachtenberg died of complications from diabetes mellitus.
The medical examiner's office determined the manner of death to be natural.
MrBeast fans seek refunds after Las Vegas eventIn February, police responded to a 911 call shortly after 8 a.m. at a 51-story luxury apartment tower in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, where officers found Trachtenberg “unconscious and unresponsive,” according to an NYPD statement.
Emergency medical services pronounced Trachtenberg dead at the scene. No foul play was suspected.
Trachtenberg’s family initially objected to an autopsy because there was no evidence of criminality, and the medical examiner’s office honored the objection. Trachtenberg’s original cause and manner of death were listed as undetermined.
The actress's career began at age eight when she played Nona Mecklenberg on Nickelodeon’s “The Adventures of Pete & Pete." Her other credits include adaptations of “Harriet the Spy” and “Inspector Gadget.”

In 2001, she received a Daytime Emmy nomination for hosting Discovery’s “Truth or Scare.” Trachtenberg went on to recurring roles on “Six Feet Under,” “Weeds” and “Gossip Girl,” where she played the gang’s scheming nemesis, Georgina Sparks.
Trachtenberg was 39.
