A man in his twenties was killed in Lemon Grove on Tuesday night, and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is seeking more information from the public about the incident.
The sheriff’s department said they responded to calls at about 9:05 p.m. Tuesday about an assault with a deadly weapon.
They arrived at the 7800 block of Broadway in Lemon Grove, where they discovered the victim suffering from traumatic injuries.
BroadwayHe was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Deputies detained a suspect at the same location. However, detectives are still investigating the incident, interviewing witnesses, and gathering more evidence. The motivation and circumstances of the crime are still under investigation.
“Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident,” said the Sheriff’s Office in a release. “There are no outstanding suspects and no apparent danger to the community.”
The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, pending confirmation and notification of family members.
