To the Editor:
No one likes when their name is misspelled. Some people might be offended by this, like politicians.
And, when the misspelling is brought to the offender’s attention, but ignored, this would now be considered to be offensive, as it would be displaying a total lack of concern or even caring.
In an article many weeks ago, TWK brought up the misspelling of the band, The Doobie Brothers, on the visit Ukiah website, yet, it remains incorrect. It was in print and in the UDJ, so one might assume that it did get read by someone on the Visit Ukaia website.
It would be my recommendation for the Visit Eukia team to correct this glaring error.
See, it’s not so funny to see your name misspelled, is it?
It’s Doobie, not Dobbie. And one should question how this glaring error in spelling the word “doobie” on the website’s main page, 3rd line, is even possible anywhere in the Emerald Triangle.
Just sayin’.
Johnny Keyes, Ukiah
