Jobe Bellingham could be set to join his older brother on a glittering list of winners at the EFL Awards.
The Sunderland midfielder has been nominated for this year’s Championship Young Player of the Season.
On loan Sheffield Wednesday star Shea Charles and Burnley defender CJ Egan-Riley complete the three-man shortlist.
Jude Bellingham previously won the award five years ago after his own breakthrough campaign.
His younger sibling could now repeat the feat five years on whilst still aged just 19.
Bellingham has scored four goals and provided three assists in 36 league appearances for the Black Cats this term.
Those goal contributions have helped Sunderland secure their place in the play-offs.
With four matches remaining, Regis Le Bris’ side sit fourth in the table and are guaranteed a top five finish.
It will be the club’s highest final position since their relegation from the Premier League in 2017.
Le Bris has also been recognised for his transformation of the fortunes at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland finished a disappointing 16th last season prior to the Frenchman’s takeover in the summer.
The 49-year-old is up for the Championship Manager of the Season alongside Daniel Farke of Leeds, Burnley’s Scott Parker and Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder.

As for Bellingham, he could emulate his brother’s own achievement in 2020.
The Real Madrid and England man made 41 appearances for Birmingham as a 16-year-old in his debut season in senior football.
His four goals and two assists were enough to earn a move to Borussia Dortmund at the end of the campaign.
Previous winners of the prestigious award also include Michael Olise and Gareth Bale, who took home the gong in 2021 and 2007, respectively.
Bellingham is now into his second season with Sunderland after joining the Black Cats from Birmingham in 2023.
He has already been rewarded with a new deal, penning a four-year contract with the club last summer.
The teenager is also already an England under-21 international, winning four caps since his debut in November.
