This past weekend, one of our neighbors hosted a BYOM (bring your own meat) grill night, and we dined al fresco while reveling in the company of friends. It was a beautiful evening filled with laughter and incredible conversation and, of course, an adult beverage (or two). Our neighbor, Brittany (aka our resident KinKeeper), provided the sides and the ambiance, which made for a fantastic backdrop for the evening.

As if that wasn’t enough, after dinner we capped everything off with the most decadent Do Nothing Brownies I’ve ever tasted, and my tastebuds will never be the same. Rich chocolatey brownies, covered with coconut shavings, pecans, butterscotch chips, and sweetened condensed milk, all culminating into one delicious dessert I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. Clearly, I’m obsessed. As much as I’m a baker myself, though, I doubt that I’d ever be able to replicate the delectable dessert exactly—nor would I want to.

I’ll never taste anything like it again, and that’s perfectly fine with me. Of course, that’s not to say that I can’t try to create my own masterpiece, although I’m sure it would pale in comparison. The only thing is my baking cabinet is a mess, and we all know that baking is more or less about control.
