Ole Miss has made an intriguing addition to its quarterback room for 2025.

Chambliss is listed at 6-1 and 200 pounds on the Ferris State roster. He led the program to a DII national championship in 2024, its 3rd title in the last 4 seasons.
Chambliss completed 61.6% of his passes (226-of-367) for 2,925 yards, with a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 26-5. Over 15 games, that was good for 195 yards per game at 8 yards per attempt. He rushed 171 times for 1,019 yards (6 per carry) and 25 TDs.
The big question is how Chambliss’s DII success will translate to the SEC. The opposing defenses will be much more talented, but the same can be said for his supporting cast.
Chambliss figures to compete for the backup job. Austin Simmons is Ole Miss‘s expected starter after backing up Jaxson Dart last season. The Rebels also have Louisville transfer Pierce Clarkson, AJ Maddox, Justin Kowalak and George Hamsley on the current roster.
