Noteworthy: The right-handed pitcher threw 12 1/3 scoreless innings and struck out 17 over two starts to lead the Vanguards to a pair of victories in the Crestview League. She tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out seven in a 4-0 win against Canyon. Pinedo, who is committed to Loyola Marymount, allowed three hits and struck out 10 in a 5-0 triumph against Esperanza.
