MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Employees have been evacuated due to a gas leak at the Tyson Foods plant in Monroe.
Officials say there is an active gas leak at the Tyson Foods near the 200 block of S. Secrest Ave. Employees have safely evacuated the building.

Monroe Fire Hazmat Team responded to the scene with help from a Charlotte Hazmat team. Monroe officials urge everyone to avoid the area at this time.
