After facing five back-to-back losses in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Chennai Super Kings made a solid comeback in the game against Lucknow Super Giants. The MS Dhoni-led side beat the opposition by five wickets and registered their second win of the tournament.
Dhoni played a massive role for his team as he first, was brilliant with his leadership skills, rotating his bowlers and making vital field placements. Apart from that, the keeper-batter also came up with three crucial dismissals to help his team restrict the opposition to a low total.
Not only this, Dhoni then also came up with the magical hand with the bat. With the team under pressure, the Chennai Super Kings skipper played a brilliant cameo of 26 runs in the end, powering them to the win. For his heroics, he also won the Player of the Match award.
