A spring chill is on the way for San Diego County as a trough of low pressure ushers in cooler temperatures and a chance of light showers, according to the National Weather Service.
Starting Wednesday, a deep marine layer will bring cooler temperatures, particularly from the foothills to the coast, along with morning drizzle likely through Friday.
The low-pressure system is expected to strengthen midweek, bringing even cooler and windier conditions to inland areas. There’s also a chance of rain Thursday and Friday as the system moves ashore.
High temperatures Tuesday are expected to reach 63 to 66 near the coast, 67 to 72 inland, 69 to 74 in the western valleys, 67 to 77 in the mountains and 89 to 93 in the deserts.
Warmer and drier weather is forecast to return by the weekend, according to meteorologists.
