New Rockies uniforms honor colorful Colorado ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) -- The Colorado Rockies will be showing off new threads on Friday with the debut of their new Nike City Connect 2.0 uniforms honoring colorful Colorado.

The Rockies announced the new uniform on Saturday, three years after the franchise's first City Connect uniform launched honoring the Centennial State.

The new uniforms will feature the classic royal purple the Rockies are known for, along with some added pops of color and a modern, sleek design.

"Inspired by Colorado’s iconic sunrises and sunsets from the plains to the Rocky Mountains, the colors of the uniform pay homage to the perfect transition between day and night. Blending bluebird skies against the backdrop of purple mountain majesty, highlighted by brilliant orange and pink, the uniform signifies a vibrant, bold new future," a press release from the Rockies states.

The Rockies will sport the new uniforms for the first time on Friday, April 18, but fans can show off the new threads before then. City Connect jerseys, hats, hoodies, tee shirts and more can be purchased in store at the Colroado Rockies Dugout Stores and Rally Store at McGregor Square starting Saturday, April 12.

The uniforms will be worn for every Friday home game for the rest of the season.
