2025 Men’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

That was their 16th team title, which extends their lead over the next-closest program the University of Michigan, which won 12 of their 14 official NCAA titles in the years 1961-or-earlier.
Michigan has another 7 unofficial titles won before 1937, where team championships were not formally granted by the NCAA but where contemporary newspapers declared champions regardless. While the NCAA calls them unofficial titles, those titles are listed in the official NCAA record books.
Texas would need three more to match Michigan in that column (earliest 2028) and four more to surpass them.

Texas’ current momentum would mean possibly 1, but likely 2, more seasons before they can catch the Wolverines. While Michigan doesn’t currently have any NCAA event title contenders, the Wolverines have built some momentum under second year head coach Matt Bowe.
There was no other movement in the overall rankings for event titles, with Cal (1), Indiana (5), Florida (4), Tennessee (3), and Georgia (1) sharing the rest of the awards.
Notably, Indiana swept the diving events to claim three of their five 2025 titles, with Zalan Sarkany‘s mile and Jassen Yep‘s 200 breast being the others. 27 of Indiana’s 101 titles all-time (26.7%) are from diving, while only 6 are in the breaststroke events where they have more recently risen to the top of the mountain.
