Just months after losing their beloved dog, Chewie, the longtime couple received a touching gift in honor of their late pup.

During the Friday, April 11 Live broadcast on National Pet Day, Ripa and Consuelos welcomed guest Bryce Dallas Howard, who presented them with a very special painting of their late Shih Tzu, who died in February at age 17.
"We just said goodbye to Bryce Dallas Howard and as she was leaving, she wanted to give us this piece of art she made for us," Ripa, 54, said while showing the audience the adorable painting of Chewie.

"If you knew Chewie, and a lot of you did, this is Chewie," Ripa added, noting that Howard "really captured" the essence of their beloved pet.
"It's amazing," she further gushed, while Consuelos, 54, agreed, calling the painting "great" and adding that it will be placed in their dressing room.
"That's a wonderful gift. So thoughtful," one user wrote on Instagram after watching the sweet moment, which someone else said "was so touching."
"What a great gift and will always make you smile when you walk by it! ?" another commenter added.
