Lewis Hamilton gave an honest heads-up to Ferrari fans ahead of this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The joint-record seven-time Formula 1 world champion has faced a tough start to his debut year with the Scuderia.
Hamilton has so far finished tenth in Australia and seventh at the Japanese Grand Prix.
They came either side of a disqualification in China for a rule breach.
Teammate Charles Leclerc has also missed out on top three finishes to leave Ferrari podium-less after the opening three races.
Next on the calendar is Bahrain, a Grand Prix that Hamilton has won five times throughout his racing career.
However, despite his success in the Middle East, the 40-year-old had an anti-climatic response to a question on his chances of winning.
“What could you say to our viewers, waiting for something magical from you, what would you say to them?” a reporter asked.
Hamilton, who showed a slight smile, replied: “Don’t, simple as that. Don’t wait for anything, just watch and enjoy.
“We’re working as hard as we can, so that’s all I can say, I have nothing else to add to that.”
Amid the pressure of a potentially historic title winning season with Ferrari, Hamilton also insisted that he blocks out the noise.
“I have, obviously, self-belief,” he told another reporter. “I don’t listen to all the stuff that’s floating around.

“I’m not being controlled necessarily by outside forces within society. I focus on myself, I listen to my music and do my job.
“I know how to arrive and to work with people, and I’m working at getting better everyday. So, I don’t stress about the stuff that’s out of my control.”
Lando Norris arrives in Bahrain top of the drivers’ standings on 62 points, one ahead of rival Max Verstappen.
McLaren lead the way for the constructors thanks to a combined five podiums and two wins from Norris and Oscar Piastri.
First practice has already got underway on Friday, with Sunday’s race scheduled for 4pm UK time.
