(KRON) -- Firefighters in the Oakland Hills are responding to a two-alarm vegetation fire Thursday afternoon, according to the Oakland Fire Department.
Crews responded at 12:55 p.m. to the 7500 block of Hansom Drive. The vegetation fire has burned an abandoned structure and extended into the nearby trees, OFD said.
Approximately 30 firefighters are on the scene. As of about 2:25 p.m., OFD said the fire was contained but the incident was not yet under control.
Crews are continuing to work on hot spots with hose lines after several successful water drops. OFD said no injuries or evacuations were reported.
Firefighters are expected to remain on the scene for several more hours.
