Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan talked about his team's preparations for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. He said that they are not worried about the results and they only focus on what is in their control.
Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Mohammad Rizwan will be leading Multan Sultans in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The 2025 season of the league is all set to begin on Friday (11th April), with Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars in the opening game.
Mohammad Rizwan, who has had a tough time in the last few months, will have a point to prove in the PSL 2025. Under his leadership, Pakistan have been facing a terrible time and this has seen him facing a lot of criticism over his poor performances.
In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan, who were the hosts, failed to win a single game and faced the group stage exit, losing to New Zealand and India. After that, they were at the receiving end of a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series, apart from facing a 4-1 defeat in the T20I series under the leadership of Salman Agha.
Ahead of the start of the Pakistan Super League, Mohammad Rizwan addressed the media along with the other captains. However, the Multan Sultans skipper was trolled by a journalist, who took a jibe at the batter for his "win and learn" statement.
We've learned a lot under your captaincy, so will Multan Sultans return to win now - Journalist to Mohammad Rizwan
The Journalist asked: "We've learned a lot under your captaincy, so will Multan Sultans return to win now?"

As for the results, whether it's a win or a learn, that's up to Allah - Mohammad Rizwan
Rizwan, however, came up with a positive reply for that and said that they focus on what's in their control. He said that as far as winning or learning is concerned, it is up to God, and they have no issues with that. Speaking to reporters, he said:
"We've never worried about results. What's in our control, we focus on that. We try to give our best through hard work, awareness, and effort. As for the results, whether it's a win or a learn, that's up to Allah, we have no issues with that."
Rizwan has come under massive scanner as a batter as well. He hasn't been able to score runs consistently for the team. However, the upcoming PSL 2025 will be a great opportunity for him to regain his touch and claim his spot back in the T20I team. Notably, he, along with other senior players, was dropped from the team in the shortest format.
