According to Business Wire, the brand was recognized as “the fastest-growing chain”  in the U.S. by Datassential, boasting more than 300 stands across the country. As of reporting, 7Brew states it has a total of 364 locations (and counting) in 32 states, with 21 new locations added across the month of March.

And even with so many new stands opening up, the comment section of the Instagram announcement found coffee lovers asking for more locations in Tennessee, Minnesota, Texas and more.

“Will not like it until I see Charlotte, NC” one person commented, as someone else chimed in with their request, “Please open one in Tampa, I have to drive an hour to get my coffee!”

Despite offering a different experience than Starbucks with its drive-thru model, 7Brew is considered one of the coffee giant's competitors in the coffee industry.

As Investopedia notes drive-thru traffic soared since the pandemic, with Dutch Bros. CEO Christine Barone revealing that about 90% of transactions happen at the drive-thru, it's also one that may prove to be more sustainable.

In addition to convenience, 7Brew’s growing concept promotes “over 20000 drink combinations, including coffee, energy drinks, smoothies, teas, and more,” with Nick Chavez, 7 Brew's CMO, explaining that it’s not just “high quality drinks” luring in customers but also “exceptional customer service” and the speed with every location featuring “double lane drive-thrus.”

As for Starbucks, CEO Brian Niccol announced a plan in Sept. 2024 that would go “back to Starbucks,” highlighting six keypoints that hinged on nurturing the connection between baristas and customers, including handwritten notes on cups.
