Jordan Brand unveils massive Florida billboard outside Madison Square Garden ...Middle East

Jordan Brand joined in the Florida Gators glory on the day after Todd Golden’s special group completed its dramatic run through the NCAA Tournament.

Florida put the finishing touches on its third national championship in program history with Monday night’s 65-63 victory over fellow 1-seed Houston. Naturally, the Gators faced a second-half deficit, as became the norm in this tournament, and, naturally, the Gators overcame that deficit to prevail. This time, it was a 12-point hole early in the second half that refused to get Golden’s group down, and UF once again made all the necessary plays down the stretch to earn their first title since 2007.

It was great theatre.

And on Tuesday, outside Madison Square Garden, which is known as the mecca of basketball and has had some incredible roundball theatre of its own, the Gators were celebrated by Jordan Brand with a gigantic billboard celebrating their accomplishment. The ad read in all capital letters: “ONLY GATORS GOT OUT ALIVE.” The ad also featured some UF players celebrating on the bench.

But that wasn’t all, of course. In the wee hours of Tuesday, not long after the national title was secured, the Jordan Brand released a 30-second ad that paid homage to what Golden’s team has done over the past few weeks.

The Gators love from New York City was shown immediately after Monday night’s monumental win. It was a monumental structure, the Empire State Building, celebrating a monumental victory and championship run. The building, which is known to light up in various colors depending on the grand occasion, lit up in orange and blue on Monday night to show its appreciation for what Florida did.

Many miles north of Gainesville, congratulations were in order in various wonderful ways.
