Seth Greenberg is a college basketball analyst at ESPN who also has a ton coaching experience at the Division 1 level. Like millions of fans all across the country, he was in awe of the incredible comeback by the Houston Cougars in the Final Four Saturday night against the Duke Blue Devils.
Houston was down 14 points to Duke in the second half, but used an incredible comeback to win the game, 70-67 to advance to the national championship against Florida.
The Gators are one of the most electric offenses in the country, and they will be facing a Houston team that is as good defensively as any team in the country.
Greenberg talked on Sportscenter about what makes the Houston defense so tough, and what Florida has to do to get the win.
“When you play against Houston, you can’t simulate what they do defensively in your preparation,” Greenberg said. “You can’t simulate the traps of the ball screen. You can’t simulate the trap against the post. You can’t simulate the relentlessness of their ability to be connected and keep you on the perimeter and forcing a contested shot. It takes a settling-in period to play against this Houston team.”
