Thomas Haugh and the Florida Gators are in a tight battle with the Auburn Tigers for the right to play in the national title on Monday night. The game has been back and forth the entire way, providing fans an incredibly entertaining game.
With the Gators up 3 points late in the game, Auburn’s Chad Baker-Mazara went up for a shot at the rim. Haugh made what appeared to be an incredible block, but the officials called a foul, much to the chagrin of Florida coach Todd Golden and the Gator faithful.

Let’s grab Thomas Haugh by the shirt and hold on! There’s no way they’ll call this!Ref ball to the max here. pic.twitter.com/rnJRlMH740
— InAllKindsOfWeather.com (@AllKindsWeather) April 6, 2025While Walter Clayton has gotten much of the talk during the NCAA Tournament run, Haugh has arguably been the second-best player in the NCAA Tournament. In the Elite Eight win against Texas Tech, Haugh had 20 points and 11 rebounds. He entered the game against Auburn averaging 13.5 PPG and 7.5 in the four tournament games, and has been a big reason why the Gators are still dancing in March.
