COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- City crews activated a Columbus floodwall on Saturday as heavy rainfall continues.
Crews installed the floodgates in Franklinton at Greenlawn and Harmon avenues near Interstate 71, the city announced shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officials advised motorists to avoid the area.
Greenlawn Avenue is closed between Front Street and Harmon Avenue, and the I-71 ramps to Greenlawn are closed. Harmon Avenue is closed north of Frank Road. Closures are expected to last through at least Sunday afternoon.
