OAKLAND — An Oakland resident has been arrested following the shooting of a man in the Oakland Hills on Wednesday, police said.

Authorities confirmed the suspect is 17 years old.
Police said a man in his 40s was walking on the Montclair Railroad Trail and had exited the trail when the attack occurred about 9:10 a.m.
The man was in critical but stable condition at a hospital on Thursday. An ambulance rushed him to the hospital after the shooting.
Authorities said the victim had been returning home after withdrawing cash from a Montclair Village bank and was robbed. They added that he was shot at least twice.
Police said officers conducted a follow-up search after obtaining a warrant and found more than one gun. The guns were recovered at two different locations, police said. They would not say whether any of them were recovered at the suspect’s home.
