Police have confirmed a shooting at the Walmart in Lancaster, South Carolina, sending dozens of officers rushing to the scene.
Authorities have issued a warning to the public: “Stay away from Walmart in Lancaster!” as they work to secure the area.
Media personnel are asked to stage in the parking lot of Carolina Pharmacy at 751 Bypass West, where law enforcement will provide updates.
Terrified witnesses earlier reported seeing more than 30 police cars, along with EMS and fire trucks, swarming the area.
“Does anyone know what is going on at the back of the Walmart in Lancaster? There has to be at least 40 crime scene vehicles and police cars out there as well as ambulances and more!”one person wrote.
