Kerr Kriisa came to Kentucky as one of the key transfer pieces for Mark Pope entering his first season with the program. Unfortunately, a season-ending injury in December cut his time short, and Kriisa confirmed on Monday that he’s leaving Lexington.
Reports began to surface regarding the move in the morning, and Kriisa has since announced he is leaving BBN with a heartfelt note of thanks for Pope and the entire program.
To Coach Pope and the UK coaching staff — it has been an absolute dream to play for the University of Kentucky. Thank you for your continued support.
To my teammates — I am so thankful for the relationships we’ve formed during my time at Kentucky, and I will keep those friendships for a lifetime.
To BBN — Your unending support of me and my team has been amazing. Playing at Rupp Arena in front of huge crowds has been a dream come true.

Kriisa made 9 total appearances for Kentucky but had just one start, and it was his final appearance for the Wildcats. He started vs. Gonzaga and chipped in 8 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists before his season-ending foot injury.
Prior to coming to Kentucky, Kriisa spent 3 seasons at Arizona and another at West Virginia and is a career 37% shooter from the 3-point line. While the move is an understandable one, Kriisa opens up another roster spot for Kentucky heading into a crucial Year 2 for Pope and his staff.
