COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Columbus Division of Fire rescued at least one person from a home in east Columbus after a tree fell on it due to severe storms that surged through central Ohio Sunday night.
According to Columbus Division of Fire Battalion Chief Jeffery Geiter, crews responded to the 1400 block of Noe Bixby Road, where a tree that had fallen on the home.
Officials said three people were reported to be in the home at the time. Two adults were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries and one adult was treated at the scene.
Strong storms and heavy winds tore through central Ohio Sunday night, resulting in damage across the region.
