Barbra Streisand fans are swooning at a yearbook picture of the eight-time Grammy winner in her youth.
The “Way We Were” singer’s photo was posted by an Instagram page that highlights Long Island, N.Y., including famous celebrities who have ties to the area.

Streisand, who went to Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, was featured in a March 28 post from the Long Island Connection Instagram page in an undated yearbook photo that showed her demurely looking at the camera.
Her hair was pinned back, with swooping bangs brushing her forehead. The yearbook photo notes that Streisand participated in “Freshman Chorus” and “Choral Club,” proving that singing has been a lifelong passion for the Funny Girl star.

Fans were delighted by the photo, taking to the comments to declare her a “straight beauty.” Another fan jumped in to say that they “bet Barbra did pretty well in chorus and choral.”
Earlier this week, Streisand fans were happy to hear that a newly-discovered rose variety has been named after the singer.
Streisand’s gardener, master rosarian Dan Bifano, discovered a new pink rose in her garden at her Malibu, Calif., home, and because Streisand owns the plant, she was awarded naming rights for the flower, reports the Los Angeles Times.
