Arizona guard KJ Lewis has entered the transfer portal two days after the team’s loss to 1-seeded Duke in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
The sophomore from El Paso, Texas, becomes the first Wildcat to announce his departure following the 2024-25 season.
He averaged 10.8 points (on 42.9% shooting), 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists while playing in all 37 possible games. In six postseason contests, Lewis averaged 12.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 25.2 minutes per game.

Lewis had his quietest offensive performance of the postseason against the Elite Eight-bound Blue Devils, managing just six points (3-of-9 shooting) in 21 minutes.
Caleb Love and Oakland transfer Trey Townsend are both out of eligibility.
In terms of additions, however, Arizona on Thursday received a big commitment from local Perry High School star Koa Peat. Dwayne Aristode, a four-star high school player from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, signed with Arizona in November and Bryce James, whose dad is LeBron James, committed in January.
