Fans were thrilled to see the return of the iconic Shania Twain on the Thursday, March 27 episode, however, they were quickly thrown off by a major plot twist they didn’t see coming.

The country crooner, 59, reprised her role as a widow named Heather, who upon boarding the luxury ship wasted no time passionately reconnecting with Don Johnson’s lead character Captain Massey.

But the duo’s “sexy port tryst” quickly became more serious when she revealed she was pregnant despite being in menopause.
“I’m pregnant. And you’re definitely the father,” she bluntly stated to a stunned Massey, adding, “Congratulations, we’re having a baby.”
The development left viewers equally as speechless as they took to X almost immediately to express their shock, with one writing, “Shania twain pregnant with Don Johnsons baby just when I thought doctor odyssey couldn't get anymore insane.”
Someone simply screamed, “NOT JUST SOMEONE. HE GOT SHANIA TWAIN PREGNANT,” as another mentioned that while this is a wild plot twist, it’s not the first pregnancy in the first season’s 12 episode span.
“doctor odyssey is really such an insane show why are we impregnating phillipa soo and shania twain on network television,” another wrote, referring to the storyline between the show’s threesome Avery, Max (Joshua Jackson) and Tristan (Sean Teale), with the father’s identity currently unknown.
