Shafaq News/ The Lebanese Armylocated the launch site of two rockets fired toward Israel, hoursafter Israeli airstrikes reached Beirut’s southern suburb, the military revealed on Friday.
According to the army’sstatement, the rockets were launched from Qaaqaaiyet El-Jisr in Nabatieh, northof the Litani River. Authorities have opened an investigation to determinethose responsible.
The army accused Israel ofusing the rocket fire as pretext to escalate its operations, denouncing thestrikes as a “blatant and repeated violation” of Lebanese sovereignty andinternational law.
Lebanese Armed Forces reportedcoordinating civilian safety in affected areas, urging residents to followofficial guidance. They also confirmed continued surveillance along thesouthern border, pledging to take necessary measures to preserve stability.

— الجيش اللبناني (@LebarmyOfficial) March 28, 2025Earlier, Israel struck a building in Hadath neighborhood of Beirut’s southernsuburbs, after the Israeli army’sspokesman Avichay Adraee posted an alert on X, highlighting the targetedbuilding and advising civilians to maintain a distance of at least 300 meters “fortheir safety.”
Israeli military confirmedresponsibility for the strike, claiming it targeted a Hezbollah drone storagesite within the building.
