Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been besties for the better part of two decades, and their friendship has been personally and professionally beneficial to them both.
In a recent interview with iHeartRadio, Gomez opened up about how she relies on Swift's input on her music, remembering the "very sweet" moment when one of her songs brought her longtime pal to tears.

"I played her 'Lose You To Love Me' before it came out and she and her amazing mom started to cry, and then I started crying," Gomez recalled.
"She definitely will say, 'That one’s okay. I think that one’s good.' It’s just very helpful," the Only Murders in the Building star added, speaking about Swift's guidance
"I like to see what she thinks," Gomez explained, noting that Swift is "super honest."

"I would never be like, 'That’s a terrible song,' because she’s so freaking good!" she admitted.
Gomez and Swift have been friends since 2008, when Gomez dated Nick Jonas and Swift dated Joe Jonas.
“We clicked instantly and, man, that was my girl,” Gomez told WSJ Magazine of Swift in 2020.
