LAMAR Jackson is ditching the playbook for a script after announcing a move into acting.
The Baltimore Ravens quarterback is used to getting in front of the cameras for media duties, but will be doing something completely different in a new role.
Jackson, 28, announced on Friday that he will be making a cameo in a forthcoming episode of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’.
The 90’s based drama will introduce Jackson as “E-Tone” in a future episode.
Announcing the episode on Instagram, Jackson wrote: “I’m so excited for fans to see me in this new role and thrilled to be a part of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’
“My character, E-Tone is a deadly, dangerous character- you don’t want to get on his bad side!”
Jackson will star alongside rapper and actor Joey Bada$$, who can be seen in preview stills uploaded on social media by the QB.
On the field, the two-time NFL MVP is still searching for his first Super Bowl ring.
Jackson has never made it to the Super Bowl in his six seasons in the league and fell to defeat in the divisional playoffs against Buffalo Bills last season.
He remains the only multi-time MVP winner to not have a Super Bowl title in the history of the NFL.
Jackson threw for a career-high 4,172 yards last season and registered a personal best 41 passing touchdowns.
The former Louisville Cardinals star has previously tried his hand at acting in a Gatorade commercial.
While he also has a number of other ventures away from the field, including a soul food restaurant, a personal clothing line (Era 8), a production company, and a record label.
But his extra-curricular activities have never hampered his efforts on gameday.
The quarterback has a staggering 70-24 regular season record with the Ravens and only narrowly missed out on a third MVP award last season to Josh Allen.
