The No. 12 seed Cowboys took down the No. 5 seed Clemson Tigers on Thursday afternoon.

They had the eyes of the nation on them as fans tuned in for the start of March Madness.

And their cheerleaders came dressed for their moment in the spotlight.

The TruTV broadcast of the game picked up the detail on their socks.

They featured the face of Amir Khan, a student manager for the school’s basketball team.

Khan was also seen on television footage taking pictures with fans in the stands.

“That’s incredible,” commentator Andrew Catalon said.

“He’s got it all going on. He’s taking pictures in the stands during the game.”

One fan said on X, “This guy is on a generational run and I love it. Shoutout Amir Khan.”

Another posted, “I might just live bet McNeese to win the tournament after seeing this.”

Sideline reporter Evan Washburn also shed more light on Khan.

“At a site where we have three hall of fame coaches, he is definitely the biggest celebrity,” Washburn said.

“He can’t be on the bench here because it’s the NCAA Tournament so different protocols.

“Maybe that’s why he’s in the stands getting selfies and continuing what is a meteoric rise up the charts of recognition.”

According to McNeese’s official site, Khan said, “If they kept manager stats for rebounding and wiping up wet spots on the court, I’d put up Wilt Chamberlain numbers.”

The team beat Clemson 69-67 in Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday.

It was the team’s first ever victory in the NCAA Tournament.

McNeese coach Will Wade said, “We have broken every record in the book.

“This was the last one to get.

“We want to keep this going – we want to keep this going.”
