F1 legend Eddie Jordan has died at the age of 76, his family have confirmed.
Jordan founded his eponymous Formula One team in 1991 and ran it for more than a decade, entering 250 Grands Prix and winning four.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eddie Jordan OBE, the ex-Formula 1 team owner, TV pundit and entrepreneur,” a statement from his family said.

“He passed away peacefully with family by his side in Cape Town in the early hours of 20 March 2025.”
Jordan was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer last year which then spread to his spine and pelvis, he revealed in December.
The disease was, he said, “quite aggressive” and chemotherapy had put him through “some dark days”.
As recently as last week, Jordan put his name to a statement announcing the “rebirth” of London Irish Rugby Club, with the 76-year-old listed as a patron of the club which went in June 2023.
He was also a patron of the youth charity Amber Foundation and child cancer charity CLIC Sargent, raising tens of millions of pounds in his lifetime through long-distance fundraising cycle rides, selling memorabilia and playing gigs with his band, Eddie & the Robbers, for whom he was the drummer.
