Actor Dax Shepard, who shares daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10, with Kristen Bell, opened up about a potentially awkward yet open conversation he had with his younger daughter about Sabrina Carpenter's "sexy" music.
During the latest episode of his podcast The Armchair Expert, Shepard talked with his co-host Monica Padman about recently getting into Carpenter's music when he brought up his conversation with Delta about her song "Juno."

Shepard began by talking about how he has been bonding with Delta over Carpenter, saying, “It’s really fun now that I love her favorite artist. It’s fun for her. Because now I’m on the Sabrina train," and noting that they listened to the song "Bed Chem" on the way to school in the morning.
He then mentioned the song "Juno," which features lyrics of a sexual nature and a title that references the popular 2007 movie of the same name. Shepard said that Delta asked her father if he knew "Juno," and while he initially said, "No," when she mentioned the movie, he replied, "Oh, the movie Juno? Yeah, I know," finally recognizing the connection between the film to Carpenter's song.
"Oh, that's a little nasty," Shepard recalled telling his daughter, with Padman agreeing that the idea is "racy." But apparently, Delta was confused, sweetly asking, "Wait, what’s nasty about wanting to have a baby with someone you love?"
The actor had to explain to his 10-year-old that the lead character in Juno gets pregnant when they're in high school, clarifying, "Oh no, there’s nothing nasty about that, I’m just saying, ‘I wanna get pregnant in high school’ is kind of a nasty, fun lyric. It’s a positive nasty.”
Along with "Juno," quite a few of Carpenter's songs have lyrics of a sexual nature, including "Bed Chem," and these are emphasized in her stage performances, something some people have criticized her for while others praised the singer for being so open about her sexuality.
