Israeli forces continued their deadly attacks on Gaza on Friday, killing at least two children in Gaza City and Beit Lahiya. This escalation coincides with the 13th day of Israel's total ban on humanitarian aid entering the Strip.
Mass graves were also discovered on Thursday beside Al-Shifa Hospital, containing 180 bodies, including 50 unidentified individuals. This discovery has prompted international calls for independent investigations into potential war crimes. The hospital suffered a sustained and ferocious Israeli attack towards the end of the Gaza War.
The Palestinian death toll from the war is believed to be at least 61,700, mostly women and children, with thousands more missing under the rubble.
On Thursday the United Nations accused Israel of committing "genocidal acts" against Palestinians by systematically targeting women's healthcare facilities, including maternity wards and an IVF clinic, as well as allegedly using sexual violence as a war strategy.
Meanwhile, Hamas on Friday insisted on adhering to the existing Gaza ceasefire agreement and proceeding to its second phase. This involves extending the truce by 60 days in exchange for the release of additional Israeli hostages.
