CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Federal immigration agents, along with the Norfolk Southern Railroad Federal Police and other agencies, arrested five individuals who were in the country illegally during an operation in the Charlotte area.
ICE reported Tuesday that law enforcement arrested the five migrants for allegedly endangering rail operations on March 6.
The agencies say they've received increased reports of gang-affiliated migrants on the rail tracks who are threatening citizens and rail employees.
All five suspects were being held in ICE custody on administrative charges pending deportation.
