The French competition watchdog has imposed a 150 million euro fine on US tech giant Google, saying it has abused its market position and failed to provide clear rules for its advertising system, Google Ads. The Google rules are “opaque and difficult to understand,” France’s Competition Authority said in a statement on Friday, adding that the fined company should make them clear and also establish a straightforward procedure for suspending Google Ads accounts.
