LOTTERY officials have issued a three-step warning for an unclaimed $30million ticket.
The winning numbers were sold in Cotati, California, and the lucky ticket holder is yet to come forward.
At My Goods Market, on Gravenstein Highway, one fortunate person punched in the exact numbers that were read out in Wednesday’s SuperLotto Plus drawing.
If you have five numbers that match the winning digits 3, 13, 17, 23, 35, 24, then you could take home $11,609.
These winning tickets were sold in Rohnert Park, Sacramento, and El Centro.
However if all six match, like the one in Cotati, you’ll get your hands on a whopping $30million.
For this lucky lotto winner, they have the choice to select to receive their fortune over multiple decades or cash it all in straight away.
The California State Lottery website says the most efficient way to get hold of your prize is by heading down to a Lottery District Office.
It states: “The fastest way to claim prizes $600 and over is at a Lottery District Office.
“Lottery District Offices are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept claim forms.
“No appointments are required. The current processing time for error-free claims is 4 to 6 weeks.”
For those who have won a prize below a thousand bucks, you can walk home with your cash on the very same day.
Head to the lottery offices for same-day processing if you have a smaller prize.
Lucky for residents of the state, California is one of the eight states that does not tax lottery windfalls.
The others are Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
Lotto players from these states could take home all of the tremendous jackpots.
This isn’t the first time lotto bosses have issued a warning for a Powerball player still sitting on a winning ticket this week.
Officials at the Illinois Lottery have urged a player who won $150,000 to come forward as soon as possible.
The winning ticket matched four out of five of the numbers and the Powerball in Wednesday’s drawing and was sold at a Casey’s General Store in Clinton.
The store will receive a one per cent bonus of the prize amount, which works out to $1,500.
Lottery prizes have soared lately with yesterday’s Mega Millions jackpot standing at $233 million, and tonight’s Powerball being $320 million.
There has only been one Mega Millions jackpot winner of 2025 which went to a player in Arizona, who scooped a whopping $112 million prize.
In the coming weeks Mega Millions is set to undergo a major change – that being the price of a ticket.
Currently it costs $2 to play the game of chance, but the price of a ticket will rise to $5.
The change has proved controversial and some shocked players have vowed to stop playing the game when the rise kicks in.
