Meghan Markle is stirring up debate over the way she does things in the kitchen.
The former Suits actress and wife to Prince Harry hasn't been a stranger to public criticism, but her fans never thought they would have to defend the way she zests a lemon—until now.

Markle, 43, has found herself in the middle of an internet debate about the correct way to zest a lemon after going viral for a clip in her new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.
In the clip, which has since been shared to X (formerly Twitter), Markle is cooking something up in the kitchen when the camera zooms in on her zesting a lemon with a microplane tool.
While her technique looked normal to some, others thought the Duchess of Sussex was doing it all wrong.
"Insane way to zest," the user who shared the clip wrote on X, while tons of others joined in with similar comments.

"The problem is not the position of the microplane, it's that she's just moving both hands erratically," another user wrote. "It looks like a toddler trying to conduct an orchestra."
"she almost caught her finger," someone else pointed out.
But others insisted that Markle wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, and many people even chimed in to say they use the same technique.
"This seems fine actually," one user wrote in Markle's defense, while someone else agreed that her method was "actually pretty normal."
"This is exactly how I zest my citrus," another person insisted.
"Is there anything this woman does that you people won't criticize? Let her live," someone else wrote in support of Markle, while another user echoed, "yall would find anything wrong with this woman my God give her a break."
Another X user made a good point while posing the question, "Who cares as long as the lemon zest gets where it needs to be?"
