Welcome to the first finals session of the first stop of this year’s TYR Pro Swim Series. Tonight’s only event is the men’s and women’s mile.
American Olympian Luke Whitlock highlights the men’s events as the top seed, and he is followed by 15-year-old superstar Luka Mijatovic who comes in seeded 2nd in the event.
On the women’s side, the event is led by two international swimmers, Brazil’s Beatriz Pimentel Dizotti who finished 7th in the event at the Olympic Games is seeded first in the event. Hungary’s Vivien Jackl, an Olympian in her own right, is seeded 2nd, less than five seconds back.
Tonight’s finals session will be swum as timed finals, alternating men’s and women’s, with the fastest heats swimming first.
