Are Chelsea Handler and Ralph Fiennes a thing?
That’s what people are wondering after the comedian, 50, and the Oscar nominee, 62, left the Vanity Fair party on Sunday, March 2 arm in arm.
The pair raised eyebrows last month at the Critics Choice Awards with a skit that had them recreating a scene from Nicole Kidman’s steamy Babygirl flick. In the bit, Handler drank milk, much like Kidman’s character, while Fiennes cheered her on. “Good girl,” the actor said. “Good girl. Good girl. Keep going, don't stop! Go on! Go on!”

On March 2, Fiennes lost an Academy Award for the third time after being nominated for best actor for his role in Conclave. Despite the loss, the British actor looked happy as he spoke to Handler, per the Daily Mail. The pair were photographed walking with their arms linked. He wore a traditional black tie, while Handler was dressed in a grey silk strapless dress and carried a clear liquid drink—not milk—in one hand.
Handler posted a carousel of photos of her sporting her Oscar party dress on Instagram along with the caption, “Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2025. Don’t you want what I’m having?” but Fiennes was absent from the pics.
The photos featured Handler armed with a matching clutch while posing on the circular Vanity Fair 2025 Party logo.

In another pic, Handler is seen being touched up by a member of her glam squad with a curling iron. Another snap has her beaming in a car with her shoulder belt on, presumably on the way to the big bash.
“Seriously. I wish I could have held on to it for the rest of the night,” she added in the comments, but it was unclear whether she was referring to the ballgown or Fiennes.
Friends and fans approved of her look, with Amy Schumer posting, “????.”
“So chic so Chelsea,” read another comment.
Another fan added, “You are my life goals.”
